Formado Albatroz Formal Leif Müller Vou ja faler, vou repetir Sou Formado Albatroz, estou aqui My capoeria life started in 1999 with (now) Mestre Requeijão in Düsseldorf, and in the university sport training at the university of Wuppertal. In 2000 I joined the association Berimbau de Ouro (today Biriba Brasil). In 2003 I changed to Pernas Pro Ar, under the direction of (now) Instructor Faisca. This group teaches capoeira "contemporanea". Since 2003 I am teaching capoeira at the university of Wuppertal in the attempt to share capoeira culture and sport. In September 2005 I visited Brazil (Natal) for the first time and at a workshop of Mestre Suassuna I met Mestre Indio from Natal who gave me my first capoeira name. At the end of 2006 I left Pernas Pro Ar and therefore called the group at the university "Fight of Brazil / Luta do Brasil" without belonging to a group at that time. In the meantime I had the opportunity to get to know various other great Capoeira groups and teachers. There was mutual sympathy with Mestre Carlos and others from the group San Cipriano (Angers) right from the start. He also helped me to organise my first international Workshop in 2008. At the end of 2008 I decided that I would like to represent and help grow the group San Cipriano here in Wuppertal. My appreciation of Mestre Carlos and his group also sparked enthusiasm in my students and nine of them had their first Capoeira baptism in April, 2009 in Angers. With this Troca de Corda (Batisado) I was also appointed Formado which is the first "professor" grade with San Cipriano. As the teacher of the only San Cipriano branch of Germany I am now trying to inspire other people to get to know this great culture and sport. |
